Lily and I were the first ones up this morning. We decided to let the others sleep in a bit and slip outside to the porch to watch the rain that was steadily coming down. Lily brought along a book and an umbrella (just in case there was a puddle that she needed to jump in) and I brought my cup of tea. The stillness of the morning is always so nice, especially when the pitter-pat of rain is added. It was a good start to the day.
